Raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Avani is a photographer and filmmaker currently studying Film Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, having previously completed two years at the University of Texas at Austin. Her experience includes behind-the-scenes photography, feature film and television sets, student productions, and freelance portrait work, with a growing focus on cinematography, writing, and directing.

Drawn to stories that explore the human experience, Avani’s background in photography and her transition into documentary and narrative filmmaking have shaped her commitment to honesty in art - finding and capturing the feelings that define everyday life. Whether on set, behind the camera, or wandering city streets, she is continually inspired by the people she encounters and the stories they carry, centering her work on the shared experiences that connect us all - our truths.
